A few weeks ago I was called by a very vocal Red Partridge in my garden, he ran straight up to me and I felt his communication – “Draw me please!” I acknowledged and thanked him and he turned and ran back to his females, satisfied his job was complete.
So I got to wondering how he might like to be shared with you and a lovely image popped into my mind, of course, a Partridge in a Pear Tree! Now, it is unlikely you will find a Partridge in a Pear Tree, as they prefer the ground, but most of us will know this reference from the Christmas carol The Twelve Days of Christmas. I smiled widely, as I had been pondering “who” would be the star of my Christmas card this year. So that was that!
So this beautiful and very vocal bird in his Pear Tree has a dual role – to be the beautiful front piece of my 2020 Christmas cards and also as the 7th piece in my Wild Britain Collection. Perfect! You can see him on my website on my new Wild Britain Collection page too.
I hope you love him, I’d love to hear your reactions below and please do watch out for news coming soon about how you can get your paws on my beautiful Christmas card packs.
If you would love to bring him into your home you can also order an A4 Giclee print for £40 plus P&P. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I’m wondering who is going to be next too – they always show up in perfect timing – so I’m open and awaiting with glee and excitement.
Wishing you a beautiful day, watch out for the animals and nature all around, they have much to share when you pay attention…
