The Red Kite

This wonderful bird of prey is one of my favourite sights in the sky and always takes my breath away. I have really enjoyed creating this piece as the 8th in my Wild Britain Collection. I forgot to add this post so forgive my 9th piece coming before this one!

Using the beautiful Faber Castell Polychromos pencils on Goldline 150gsm Cartridge paper (as for all in my Wild Britain Collection) this stunning bird’s colours and softness shines through. Their bright yellow cere and talons are so stunning too and almost glow on the paper!

This is the complete piece, so you can see it in its entirety.

Me and my husband David visit our local forest regularly and a family of Red Kites have been there this past Summer and Autumn, which always makes our day! They are so agile, powerful and are brilliant hunters, it is such a pleasure to watch them. These beautiful birds need our protection, as will all wildlife, and I am proud to say that for every sale of all of my original art and Giclee prints I donate 10% to my local Wildlife Trust, to help them to provide this essential protection.

If you’d like to bring Red Kite energy into your home you can order A4 Giclee prints by messaging me, each print is £40 plus packaging and postage (globally) – I am also happy to mount the print if you would like for an additional £6. Simply write to me on my Get in Touch page.

I’d love to hear your reaction to my Red Kite piece and if you have them in your area I’d love to hear all about that too!

Sending love,

Jules XXX

    1. Thank you so much Shirley, I’m so happy you love my art! I’m working on The Jubilant Robin right now and you can see more on my Facebook and Instagram pages, if you’d like to! I will post a blog about him once I have completed him too. Sending much gratitude and love, Jules XXX
