Artist’s Statement: “Protect Those We Love… is a vitally important statement for me as a wildlife artist. Today’s human world has disconnected so much from nature and wildlife and as a result of this we are wandering dangerously into climate change and the sixth mass extinction. This has massive global impacts for all life on this beautiful planet. We are all interdependent on one another. Each species plays its part in the balance of the whole. When this is damaged beyond a point, we threaten life across all species, including ourselves.
This Collection makes a request for humankind to reconnect to this truth, to wake up and remember that we must Protect Those We Love… in all species around the planet and now. We will not want to be remembered for the ones that let life on Earth die – especially as it is so unnecessary. This Collection calls to us all to remember and to do whatever we can personally to effect positive change. Working with mixed media, including acrylics, soft pastels and indian inks this collection carries a vibrant and urgent energy for us all to rebalance ourselves and our impact in the World.
I also include a few of my private commissions in this Gallery for you to get a sense of the work I have been asked to co-create for my customers.”
Artist’s Statement: “Born and raised in rural England and Scotland, I’ve always deeply loved our native wildlife, feeling fiercely protective. My collection is dedicated to honouring Wild Britain and sharing how precious all species are and how vital it is that we protect and restore nature, for all our sakes. Working with Polychromos pencils on pristine white cartridge paper, I focused on bringing out the character and heart of each animal. In addition, I donate 10% of all sales to charities that are helping to protect wildlife and their habitats, including the Wildlife Trust and The Badger Trust.”
Artist’s statement: “The eyes are the windows to the soul. This, I believe, is especially true in our relationship and connection with the animals, as we do not share a verbal language. Yet our unspoken language, the language of the soul, the heart is universal. When we remember how to quiet our mind and drop into our heart we can commune with these wise teachers and learn how to realign with nature’s laws. My latest Collection Wild Soul is designed to help you to connect with these amazing souls, looking and feeling deeply into their stunningly beautiful eyes…”

Fine Art Original Materials
I work with the highest quality materials to create my work and pride myself on investing on your behalf, to ensure that when you buy an original piece from me you know it will be excellent quality, designed to last for many years to come*.
For each piece I will specify the specific materials I have used in my Gallery description, some of my most commonly used include; Clairefontaine Pastelmat, Daley Rowney Heavy Weight Papers, Daler Ingres Pastel Papers, Windsor & Newton Canvas boards, handmade Egyptian Papyrus.
I work predominantly with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils, Inscribe Pastels, Reeves Soft Pastels, Rowney Soft Pastels, Windsor and Newton Acrylics and Windsor and Newton Indian Inks.
Scanning and Printing of Art Prints
I work with a local, fourth generation family managed printing shop, John E Wright, which was founded in 1900 and today offers great personal service for fine artists.
All my originals are scanned in their state of the art scanner at 600dpi, as this method ensures the most even and accurate image of my originals.
All my art prints and greetings cards are created for me through “Love From The Artist”, using Sinterix printing, which is equivalent to Giclee prints. Sinterex is based on a heat suffused sintered powder application to the paper. It offers extremely high quality and is printed at very high resolution to bring up extremely fine detail.
The papers that I use for my printing are all FSC approved, compliant to ISO 14001, acid free, with a non ageing specification to ISO 9706 (permanent)*. The Fine Art Guild expect 6 or more on the Blue Wool Scale and these prints score 6 or higher and therefore are considered comparable with Giclee quality.
All prints are sent out to you carefully packaged and insured. I can arrange for a mount to be added (at additional cost) if you prefer and I will happily offer advise on complementary frames that will further enhance your investment. I prefer not to post framed art due to the glass and possibility of damage but please do inquire if this is important to you. If you have any other questions please message me here: Get In Touch
* When kept out of direct sunlight and protected by a high quality sealed frame, at reasonable room temperatures, art originals and reproductions will last significantly longer.
